Uttarakhand boy, Varnit Negi gets 13th rank in UPSC Civil Services Exam

Varnit Negi, a boy from the North State of Uttarakhand has finally fulfilled the dream of his father and secured 13th rank in UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018.

The father of Varnit is a postgraduate student from Roorkee University. His own dream was to become an IAS Officer. Unfortunately, he could not accomplish this dream and now his son, Varnit Negi has finally achieved his dream of becoming an IAS.

In his first attempt, Varnit cleared the IAS written examination in the year 2016. But he didn’t go through the interview.

This did not let him down. In the year 2017, he again joined the examination and got the 504th rank. Even then, he did not give up his dream. He again participated in the IAS examination 2018 and achieved such a jump of success that he got the 13th rank.

Primary education from Chhattisgarh

Varnit took his primary level of education from a town called Jashpur in Chhattisgarh. Later, after completion of engineering studies from NIT Surathkal, Karnataka, his campus selection took place and he got selected to work for a private company for two years. But his desires were much bigger than this job. He left his job and started preparing for his first Civil Services Examination.

Varnit Negi says that the father’s dream was to go to the civil service and that his dream was finally fulfilled.

His message to future aspirants

Varun’s message to the youth and aspiring candidates is that in any situation and circumstance we should not give up our efforts. In this direction, we should try honest and smart.  Now, he wants to work as a dedicated person for the country.
