CUT-OFF FOR PRELIMS 2019 UPSC Civil Service Examination.

Quick Review by Vikash Ranjan
————————————————
UPSC Cotinued with the last year (CSE 2018) Pattern of General Studies Questions in CSE 2019 too. After Years of Experiment, UPSC Returning back to Basics and providing equal opportunities to the students outside Delhi too. Conventional & Current GK based Questioning in Prelims is appreciable, really appreciable. UPSC is trying to Create Level Playing field for all.

Although UPSC is unpredictable, if this pattern Continues, I hope students will be free from burden of CURRENT AFFAIRS Courses and Content provided by Unacademic Content Engineers.

In my opinion, paper is not difficult, but Cutoff is not going to be higher than previous year. Since, today majority of students are highly dependent on TEST SERIES based FACTUAL PREPARATION, CURRENT AFFAIRS CLASSES and NOTES and Less on Self readings and consolidation of Basics and GK, I think CUT OFF will be around 100 + or – 5.

All FUTURE ASPIRANTS must understand this pattern of Questioning. You should FOCUS on BASIC CONVENTIONAL CONCEPTS & FACTS in Building KNOWLEDGE BANK of GENERAL STUDIES and should be Vigilant to Current GK. Get Guidance from TEACHERS and MENTORS, But always Control Your Preparation. Focus on BASICS-FUNDAMENTALS of KNOWLEDGE. Do not Segregate Prelims and Mains GS Syllabus. Follow INTEGRATED APPROACH for GENERAL STUDIES Preparation.
