Interventions<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/T1psvNbduxc\/maxresdefault.jpg\" alt=\"Dhanwantari Rath launched to bring ayurveda at doorsteps of Delhi Police personnel - YouTube\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Why in News?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the<strong>\u00a0All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Delhi Police<\/strong>\u00a0for extending the<strong>\u00a0Ayurveda Preventive and Promotive health services<\/strong>\u00a0in the residential colonies of\u00a0<strong>Delhi Police.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>These services are to be provided through a\u00a0<strong>mobile unit named \u2018Dhanwantari Rath\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Police Wellness Centres<\/strong>\u00a0and are to be catered by AIIA, supported by the Ministry of AYUSH.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.toiimg.com\/photo\/msid-76411842\/76411842.jpg?resizemode=4&amp;width=400\" alt=\"Ayurveda clinical trials on Guj Covid-19 patients soon | Rajkot News - Times of India\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Key Points<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Dhanwantari Rath and Police Wellness Centres would be\u00a0<strong>outreach OPD (OutPatient Department) services of AIIA<\/strong>\u00a0and aim to benefit the Families of Delhi Police through Ayurveda preventive health care services.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dhanwantari Rath \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0a mobile unit of Ayurveda health care services would consist of a team of Doctors who would be visiting Delhi Police colonies regularly.<\/li>\n<li>These Ayurveda health care services are\u00a0<strong>expected to reduce the incidence\/prevalence of various diseases<\/strong>\u00a0and also<strong>\u00a0reduce the number of referrals to hospitals<\/strong>\u00a0thereby\u00a0<strong>reducing cost to the healthcare system<\/strong>\u00a0as well<strong>\u00a0as patients.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Earlier,<strong>\u00a0AYURAKSHA, a joint venture of AIIA and Delhi Police<\/strong>\u00a0aimed for\u00a0<strong>maintaining the health of frontline Covid warriors like Delhi police personnel<\/strong>\u00a0through Ayurveda immunity boosting measures was launched.<\/li>\n<li>With the latest MoU, Ayurveda Preventive and Promotive health care will be extended to the families of Delhi Police personnel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"border-bg\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Ayurveda<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is made up of two words-<strong>\u00a0Ayuh<\/strong>\u00a0and<strong>\u00a0Veda.<\/strong>\u00a0Ayuh means life and Veda means knowledge or science. Thus \u2018Ayurveda\u2019 in totality means \u2018Science of life\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>It incorporates all aspects of life whether physical, psychological, spiritual or social.<\/li>\n<li>It is considered as\u00a0<strong>one of the ancient health care systems.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Atharva-veda<\/strong>\u00a0mainly deals with extensive Ayurvedic information.
