Governance: Schemes and policies<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.iastoppers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Student-Entrepreneurship-Programme-2.0.jpg\" alt=\"Student Entrepreneurship Programme 2.0 | IASToppers\" \/><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>Why In News?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Recently,\u00a0<b>Niti Aayog\u2019s Atal Innovation Mission (AIM)<\/b>\u00a0in collaboration with\u00a0<b>Dell Technologies<\/b>\u00a0launched\u00a0<b>Student Entrepreneurship Programme 2.0 (SEP 2.0<\/b>) for young innovators of\u00a0<b>Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs).<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/svTLbK1Ok_t8Vgb4EhlsTYnsvm35o7hKm8_qe9KttnclDf1nDgKw-92bSSTWBkj35ygPzawbkID1I32LddmuTtzmOB2N2yuE6aoKT_iKv_RcFGyqlxHpwBgR3LnSjYP0fUZ-Hg_ppRis2DtgjbwxTaZuq2NH1NgS2LxX_bmp9VDb8kYxS4apStU9S_uqtLX0YbywR_9V-0e8iduS=s0-d\" alt=\"upsccivilservices: 3000 more schools selected to get Atal Tinkering Labs - Pragnay IAS Academy - News Analysis.\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>Background:\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<b>Student Entrepreneurship Programme (SEP) 1.0\u00a0<\/b>was launched in January 2019.<\/li>\n<li>The top 6 teams of ATL Marathon got a chance to transform their innovative prototypes into fully functioning products through a 10-month-long rigorous programme.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a050 teams were selected for the\u00a0<strong>Student Innovator Programme<\/strong>\u00a0after two rigorous rounds.<\/li>\n<li>The teams were then mentored by\u00a0<strong>Atal Incubation Centres for months<\/strong>\u00a0via the Student Innovator Programme 2.0.<\/li>\n<li>The top 8 will now take their prototypes to the product through SEP 2.0.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>About the programme 2.0:<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>SEP 2.0 will allow student innovators to work closely with Dell volunteers.<\/li>\n<li><b>Suppor<\/b>t-They will receive mentor support, prototyping and testing support, end-user feedback, intellectual property registration and patenting of ideas, processes, and products.<\/li>\n<li>It will provide manufacturing support as well as the launch support of the product in the market.<\/li>\n<li><b>Significance \u2013<\/b>The programme will help students in receiving support and guidance for manufacturing fully-functional and market-ready products.\n<ul>\n<li>It encourages young aspiring school students, as well as creates a value-adding recognition platform for innovative talent across the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>About Atal Innovation Mission:\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/image.slidesharecdn.com\/atalinnovationmission-170610141849\/95\/atal-innovation-mission-2-638.jpg?cb=1497104363\" alt=\"Atal innovation mission\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It has been launched by\u00a0\u00a0<strong>NITI Aayog as a flagship program<\/strong>\u00a0to promote a culture of\u00a0<b>innovation and entrepreneurship\u00a0<\/b>in a holistic manner through various initiatives at school, university and industry levels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>Functions-<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/image.slidesharecdn.com\/atalinnovationmission-170610141849\/95\/atal-innovation-mission-3-638.jpg?cb=1497104363\" alt=\"Atal innovation mission\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Innovation promotion<\/b>\u2013 to provide a platform where innovative ideas are generated.<\/li>\n<li><b>Entrepreneurship promotion-\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0Innovators would be supported and mentored to become successful entrepreneurs through Self-Employment and Talent Utilization at Incubation Centres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b>Some initiatives of AIM are-<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Atal Tinkering Labs<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 To promote creative, innovative mindset in schools.<\/li>\n<li><b>ATL Marathon<\/b>-It is a nationwide contest where students identify community challenges and create grassroots innovations and solutions within their ATLs)<\/li>\n<li><b>Atal Incubators<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 To promote entrepreneurship in universities and industry.<\/li>\n<li><b>Atal New India Challenges and Atal Grand Challenges<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 To promote specific product innovations with social\/economic impact.<\/li>\n<li><b>Mentors of Change<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 To mentor students at ATL and AIC Incubators \/ Startups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>For more such notes, Articles, News &amp;
