Failure is momentary too."},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mudit Jain, IPS\/IRS (3 Times IAS Ranker) Shares his storey about Braving Highs and Lows in Life<\/h4>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">In exam cycle of\u00a0<b>6 years,<\/b>\u00a0I gave<b>\u00a05 attempts<\/b>\u00a0and<b>\u00a04 interviews<\/b>. I got my\u00a0<b>name in the final list on 3 occasions<\/b>\u00a0including in the recent CSE-17 list.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you notice my credentials, it says\u00a0<b><i>changed to IRS(IT) from IPS(P).\u00a0<\/i><\/b>I have received many questions on same.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">I first cleared exam with\u00a0<b>CSE-14 and got 222 rank and IPS<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The detailed application form\u00a0<b><i>(DAF) for CSE-15 was filled somewhere in sept-oct 2015<\/i><\/b>. I gave CSM-15 and joined national police academy for IPS training.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2 weeks itself I had a\u00a0<b>grade 1 ligament tear<\/b>\u00a0in right knee and then in left knee. I continued training till\u00a0<b>March 2016<\/b>\u00a0and took extraordinary leave (<b>EOL<\/b>) because of injury.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Result of CSE 15<\/b>\u00a0came in May 2016 and i got rank 207 and\u00a0<b>IPS again<\/b>. Remember the ligament injury!<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><i>Had I known that I would get injured, I would not have opted IPS again in DAF.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">I decided to give\u00a0<b>another attempt<\/b>. Result of prelims came in Sept 2016 and my time was perhaps not right as I\u00a0<b>flunked prelims 2016<\/b>\u00a0by some 2 marks. This was a rude shock to say the least.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">I was\u00a0<b>still injured<\/b>\u00a0and had to take\u00a0<b>another EOL.\u00a0<\/b>Ligaments take their own time to heal. But IPS training has to be done within 3 attempts. What if I am injured next year as well? I will end up with no service!<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">So i gave Technical Resignation from 68rr and joined 69rr and took EOL.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>CSE 2017: Jan 2017<\/b>\u00a0itself I started prelims preparation and solved\u00a0<b>43 papers<\/b>, along with customary static and current portions. This is how a candidate giving his\/her 1st attempt would go about it. On 18th June I\u00a0<b>was sure of clearing prelims.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mains esp GS has been my forte. Not to brag but I have managed more marks in GS than the toppers<b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b>in CSE-14 &amp; 15. (<b><i>11th highest in Mains 2014, 5th in GS 2015.\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Optional geography and personality test are my weak areas to say the least).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">But I was doing GS after gap of 2 years and there was a lot of self doubt. I practiced harder than before and gave my best.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Meanwhile, i was taking care of my injury.\u00a0<\/b>Gym, physio, medicines, ayurved, top doctors and what not. But come winters, the problem aggravated again. Finally after wasting huge sum of money on\u00a0<b>MRIs<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Nuclear bone scans<\/b>,\u00a0<b>Consultations<\/b>\u00a0etc a general physician diagnosed\u00a0<b>Osteoarthritis (OA)\u00a0<\/b>within 3\u20134 secs. OA wears down\u00a0<b>Cartilage<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">All this resulted in yet\u00a0<b>another EOL<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>December 2017\u00a0<\/b>I decided to join quora, make my youtube channel and wordpress blog to help aspirants if I am not able to help myself. It has given me immense love and joy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finally,\u00a0<b>CSE 17 results<\/b>\u00a0came. I got selected with rank\u00a0<b>173<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b><i>This rank will get me IRS(IT). This rank saves my career. This rank would end more than 2 years of leave from service.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Still, it is rank 173 and not rank 1.\u00a0<\/b>My friends, ones who know me well and me myself feel I have been hard done by 222\u2013207\u2013173.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yes I have something but not what I wanted when i started this journey on\u00a0<b>8th June 2012<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>How I feel?<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Well, I have\u00a0<b>accepted IRS(IT) as my career<\/b>. I am\u00a0<b>not giving the lone attempt left\u00a0<\/b>as I feel that I have had enough of it all.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today I have mix feelings but I hope few years down the line I would be happy.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"ui_qtext_para\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><b><i>Motivation lies within you.
