{"id":8370,"date":"2020-06-02T19:03:35","date_gmt":"2020-06-02T13:33:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/?p=8370"},"modified":"2020-06-02T19:03:35","modified_gmt":"2020-06-02T13:33:35","slug":"national-career-service-portal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/national-career-service-portal\/","title":{"rendered":"National Career Service portal"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"hero-section\" data-type=\"type-1\" data-alignment=\"left\">\n<header class=\"entry-header\">\n<h1 class=\"page-title\">Relevance: Prelims: Governance<\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Why in news?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/header>\n<\/section>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>\u2022 The <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Ministry of Labour and Employment<\/strong><\/span> under its National Career Service (NCS) project has now started offering free online \u201cCareer Skills Training\u201d in partnership with TCS ION for its registered job-seekers.<\/p>\n<p><b>About:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/image.slidesharecdn.com\/nationalcareerservice-181209130811\/95\/national-career-service-3-638.jpg?cb=1544361344\" alt=\"National career service\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Ministry of Labour and Employment is implementing the National Career Service <strong>(NCS) project for transformation of the National Employment Service to provide a variety of employment related services<\/strong> like job search, job matching, career counselling, vocational guidance, information on skill development courses through an on-line portal (www.ncs.gov.in).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Around 1000 employment exchanges including 200 Model Career Centers across the country are integrated with NCS.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A Special link for Work from Home Jobs and Online Trainings has been created on NCS portal Home Page to give direct access to job-seekers to such jobs.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 NCS also offers the functionality of creation of video profiles for job-seekers in partnership with HIREMEE, a platform which provides online assessment and hiring services. Job-seekers can showcase their ability to recruiters using short video clips.
