{"id":8215,"date":"2020-05-26T16:06:32","date_gmt":"2020-05-26T10:36:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/?p=8215"},"modified":"2020-05-26T16:06:32","modified_gmt":"2020-05-26T10:36:32","slug":"formalization-of-micro-food-processing-enterprises","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/formalization-of-micro-food-processing-enterprises\/","title":{"rendered":"Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"hero-section\" data-type=\"type-1\" data-alignment=\"left\">\n<header class=\"entry-header\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Relevance: Prelims: Governance<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/EYdVg67XYAEle7u.jpg\" alt=\"IIFPT (@IIFPT_MoFPI) | Twitter\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why in news?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/header>\n<\/section>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>\u2022 Union Cabinet gave its approval to a new Centrally Sponsored Scheme named Scheme for Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises for the Unorganized Sector on All India basis with an outlay of Rs. 10 thousand crores.<\/p>\n<p><b>About:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The expenditure will be shared by the Centre and the States in the ratio of 60:40.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The objectives of the scheme are to increase access to finance by micro food processing units and enhanced compliance with food quality and safety standards.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Scheme will be implemented over a five-year period from 2020-21 to 2024-25 and two lakh micro-enterprises are to be assisted with credit linked subsidy.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Microenterprises will get credit-linked subsidy at 35 percent of the eligible project cost with ceiling of Rs. 10 lakh.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Beneficiary contribution will be a minimum of 10 percent and balance from the loan.
