{"id":8017,"date":"2020-05-18T17:05:53","date_gmt":"2020-05-18T11:35:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/?p=8017"},"modified":"2020-05-18T17:05:53","modified_gmt":"2020-05-18T11:35:53","slug":"goal-going-online-as-leaders-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/goal-going-online-as-leaders-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018GOAL\u2019 (Going Online As Leaders) programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"hero-section\" data-type=\"type-1\" data-alignment=\"left\">\n<header class=\"entry-header\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Relevance: Prelims: Polity: Governance<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/JIMpllJakfA8WH3sUHlIr5JFj6xDLL6SKvGXkJIhY6V9QVqbw1RVtw7R0el71L1z507JZ7R_B3mNFmxrCCAqcfJneiMoym7i6HZm-dDKQbweld81g3PCJ82YrqeoeBhzenedZCXzqg\" alt=\"Union Minister for Tribal Affairs launches 'Goal' programme of M\/o ...\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why in news?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/header>\n<\/section>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>\u2022 Union Minister for Tribal Affairs launched the <strong>\u201cGOAL (Going Online As Leaders)\u201d<\/strong> program of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) in partnership with Facebook.<\/p>\n<p><b>About:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 GOAL (Going Online As Leaders) is a Joint initiative of Facebook India with the Ministry of Tribal affairs to provide mentorship to tribal youth through digital mode.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Under this, 5,000 young tribal entrepreneurs, professionals, artisans, and artists (to be called as \u2018Mentees\u2019) will be trained by experts <strong>(to be called as \u2018Mentors\u2019)<\/strong> from different disciplines on digital skills under digital entrepreneurship program.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong> It will develop Tribal Entrepreneurship and connect Tribal Youth to Domestic and International Markets through Digital Platforms.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Aspiring candidates are invited to apply at the online portal <strong>\u201cgoal.tribal.gov.in.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Leaders from the industry and academia are invited to register as mentors on \u201cgoal.tribal.gov.in\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Facebook had on its own run the project on a pilot basis from February 2019 to October 2019 in 5 states with 100 mentees and 25 mentors; which received an enthusiastic response.
