Winter, the llama, is 4 years old, female, and living on a farm in the Belgian countryside.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.france24.com\/media\/display\/e6fff38c-903f-11ea-a8e0-005056bf87d6\/w:1240\/p:16x9\/IN%20THE%20PAPERS%200507.webp\" alt=\"Could llamas be crucial to finding a preventative Covid-19 cure ...\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>About:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Llamas are a member of the camelid family, which includes camels, alpacas, vicunas, and guanacos.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Llamas have a typical camel-like body shape, but they lack the humps of the Bactrian and dromedary camel.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Llamas are no longer found in the wild. They are now distributed throughout North America, Europe, Australia, Argentina, Ecuador, Chile, Bolivia, and Peru.
