{"id":6615,"date":"2020-02-27T16:05:20","date_gmt":"2020-02-27T10:35:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/?p=6615"},"modified":"2020-02-27T18:46:54","modified_gmt":"2020-02-27T13:16:54","slug":"indian-polity-preamble","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/indian-polity-preamble\/","title":{"rendered":"INDIAN POLITY: PREAMBLE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u25ba<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>PREAMBLE <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA,<\/strong> having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a <strong>SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST<\/strong> <strong>SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC<\/strong> and to secure to all its citizens: <strong>JUSTICE,<\/strong> social, economic and political; <strong>LIBERTY<\/strong> of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship; <strong>EQUALITY<\/strong> of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all <strong>FRATERNITY<\/strong> assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;<\/p>\n<p><strong>IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY<\/strong> this twenty-sixth day of November, 1949, do <strong>HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT<\/strong> <strong>AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/preamble.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6647\" src=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/preamble.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"546\" srcset=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/preamble.jpg 728w, https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/preamble-150x113.jpg 150w, https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/preamble-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/preamble.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6617\" src=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/preamble.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"546\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The vision given in the Preamble of our Constitution is the guiding light for ensuring the spread and reach of the political, economic and social democracy in the country.<\/li>\n<li>The word Socialist, Secular, &amp; integrity were added by Constitution 42nd Amendment.<\/li>\n<li>The Preamble does not grant any power but it gives a direction purpose to the Constitution and also outlines its objectives.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Preamble contains the fundamentals of the Constitution<\/strong> and serves the following important purposes:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It contains the enacting clause which brings the constitution into force<\/p>\n<p>It declares the rights and freedoms intended for its people<\/p>\n<p>It declares the basic type of government and polity which is sought to be established in India<\/p>\n<p>It throws light on the source of the Constitution viz. the People of India<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thus, the <strong>source of the Constitution<\/strong> <strong>are the people themselves<\/strong> from whom the Constitution derives its ultimate sanction.
