{"id":6050,"date":"2020-02-01T09:45:57","date_gmt":"2020-02-01T04:15:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/?p=6050"},"modified":"2020-02-01T09:45:57","modified_gmt":"2020-02-01T04:15:57","slug":"exercise-sampriti-ix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/exercise-sampriti-ix\/","title":{"rendered":"Exercise SAMPRITI-IX"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Relevance: Mains: G.S paper III: Defence and security<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Samprit.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6051\" src=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Samprit.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"980\" height=\"689\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why in news?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Indo-Bangladesh defence cooperation, a joint military training exercise SAMPRITI-IX is being conducted at UMROI, Meghalaya, India.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exercise SAMPRITI is an important bilateral defence cooperation endeavour between India and Bangladesh and will be the ninth edition of the exercise which is hosted alternately by both countries.<\/li>\n<li>During the joint military exercise SAMPRITI-IX a Command Post Exercise (CPX) and a Field Training Exercise (FTX) will be conducted.<\/li>\n<li>For both the CPX and FTX, a scenario where both nations are working together in a Counter Terrorism environment will be simulated under the UN Charter.<\/li>\n<li>The FTX curriculum is progressively planned where the participants will initially get familiar with each other\u2019s organizational structure and tactical drills.<\/li>\n<li>The training will culminate with a final validation exercise in which troops of both armies will jointly practice a Counter Terrorist Operation in a controlled and simulated environment.<\/li>\n<li>In addition, to understand each other at tactical level, greater cultural understanding will be emphasized to strengthen military trust and cooperation between two nations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Relevance: Mains: G.S paper III: Defence and security Why in news?
