India\u2019s overall score fell from 7.23 in 2018 to 6.90.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>About:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The report, \u201cA year of democratic setbacks and popular protest\u201d, was done by The Economist Intelligence Unit \u2014 the research and analysis division of The Economist Group, which is the sister company to The Economist newspaper.<\/li>\n<li>The report records how global democracy fared, analysing 165 independent states and two territories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Key findings:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>India slipped 10 places in the 2019 global ranking to 51st place.
