Training Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Relevance: prelims\/mains: G.S paper II: Schemes and policies intervention <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Union Human Resource Development Minister<\/strong>\u00a0has launched\u00a0<strong>\u2018National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA)\u2019,<\/strong>\u00a0a national mission\u00a0<strong>to improve learning outcomes at the elementary level.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NISHTHA Website, Training Modules, Primer Booklet and a Mobile App were also launched by the Minister.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About \u2018National Initiative for School Heads&#8217; and Teachers&#8217; Holistic Advancement\u2019<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>NISHTHA is the\u00a0<strong>largest teachers\u2019 training programme<\/strong>\u00a0of its kind in the world.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong>\u00a0To motivate and equip teachers to encourage and foster critical thinking in students.<\/li>\n<li>Teachers will get awareness and develop their skills on various aspects related to:\n<ul>\n<li>Learning Outcomes,<\/li>\n<li>Competency-Based learning and Testing,<\/li>\n<li>Learner-centered Pedagogy,<\/li>\n<li>School Safety and Security,<\/li>\n<li>Personal-social qualities,<\/li>\n<li>Inclusive Education,<\/li>\n<li>ICT in teaching-learning including Artificial Intelligence,<\/li>\n<li>Health and well-being including yoga,<\/li>\n<li>Initiatives in School Education including library, eco-club, youth club, kitchen garden,<\/li>\n<li>School Leadership qualities,<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Concerns,<\/li>\n<li>Pre-school, Pre-vocational Education and School-Based assessment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:\u00a0<\/strong>To<strong>\u00a0build the capacities of around 42 lakh participants,<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Covering all teachers and heads of schools at the elementary level in all Government schools,<\/li>\n<li>Faculty members of State Councils of Educational Research and Training (SCERTs) and District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs),<\/li>\n<li>Block Resource Coordinators and Cluster Resource Coordinators in all States and UTs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Implementation:<\/strong>\u00a0Training will be conducted directly by 33120<strong>\u00a0Key Resource Persons (KRPs)\u00a0<\/strong>and<strong>\u00a0State Resource Persons (SRP)<\/strong>\u00a0identified by the State and UTs, who will in turn be trained by 120\u00a0<strong>National Resource Persons<\/strong>\u00a0identified from National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), etc.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>States and UTs have an option to contextualize the training modules<\/strong>\u00a0and use their own material and resource persons also, keeping in view the core topics and expected outcomes of NISHTHA.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>prominent features<\/strong>\u00a0of the programme are activity based modules including in-built continuous feedback mechanism, online monitoring and support system,\u00a0<strong>training need and impact analysis (Pre and Post training).<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>A Mobile App and\u00a0<strong>Learning Management System (LMS)<\/strong>\u00a0based on MOODLE (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) have been developed by NCERT.\n<ul>\n<li>LMS will be used for registration of Resource Persons and Teachers, dissemination of resources, training gap and impact analysis, monitoring, mentoring and measuring the progress online.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Relevance: prelims\/mains: G.S paper II: Schemes and policies intervention The\u00a0Union Human Resource Development Minister\u00a0has launched\u00a0\u2018National Initiative for School Heads and<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":3530,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_exactmetrics_skip_tracking":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_active":false,"_exactmetrics_sitenote_note":"","_exactmetrics_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[18],"tags":[392],"class_list":["post-4156","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-general-studies-ii","tag-union-public-service-commission-upsc"],"amp_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4156","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=4156"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4156\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":4157,"href":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/4156\/revisions\/4157"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/3530"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4156"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=4156"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=4156"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
