schemes for promoting e-learning across students in schools &amp; Universities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">Key e-learning initiatives <\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">The key e-learning initiatives run by MHRD are as follows:-<span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596ol1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><strong><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s1\">SWAYAM<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">: <\/span>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">The <strong>Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds&#8217; (SWAYAM)<\/strong> an integrated platform for <strong>online courses<\/strong>, using<strong> Information and Communication Technology (ICT)<\/strong> and covering school (9th to 12th) to Post Graduate Level. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">At present, about 1000+ <strong>MOOCs<\/strong> Courses are listed on SWAYAM, wherein about 30 Lakhs students have enrolled to these courses. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">It also offers online courses for students, teachers and teacher educators.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s1\"><strong>SWAYAM Prabha<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">SWAYAM Prabha is an initiative to provide <strong>32 High Quality Educational Channels through DTH (Direct to Home)<\/strong> across the length and breadth of the country on 24X7 basis. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">It has curriculum based course content covering diverse disciplines.<span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s1\"><strong>National Digital Library (NDL)<\/strong>:\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">The National Digital Library of India (NDL) is a project to develop a framework of <strong>virtual repository of learning resources with a single- window search facility<\/strong>. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">There are more than 153 Lakhs <strong>digital books<\/strong> available through the NDL.<span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s1\"><strong>E-pathshala<\/strong>:<\/span><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">E-books of the resources developed by <strong>National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT)<\/strong>, <strong>State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT)<\/strong> \/ <strong>State Institutes of Education (SIEs)<\/strong>, State boards etc. <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">SIEs in multiple languages and uploaded on <strong>e-pathshala<\/strong> website and disseminated through mobile app (android, iOS and Windows). <\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">E-pathshala has been listed\/made available on the <strong>UMANG App<\/strong> of Govt. of India, which was launched by Hon&#8217;ble Prime Minister of India on 23 November, 2017 during GCCS-2017.<span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s1\"><strong>National Repository of Open Educational Resources (NROER)<\/strong> :<\/span><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596li1\"><span class=\"m_-4099797077742576351m_5511860171161347596s2\">To make <strong>digital resources<\/strong> available for <strong>teachers and students<\/strong> as <strong>free and open source
