Yet today, it is being misused in combination with potent opioids like fentanyl, creating a deadly cocktail that is cheap, addictive, and devastating in its effects.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"724\" \/>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-section-id=\"m8oq2x\" data-start=\"726\" data-end=\"773\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%9A%A0%EF%B8%8F_What_is_Xylazine_and_Why_is_it_Dangerous\"><\/span><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\u26a0\ufe0f What is Xylazine and Why is it Dangerous?<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"775\" data-end=\"974\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Xylazine is used by veterinarians to\u00a0<strong data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"836\">sedate large animals<\/strong>. It works by depressing the central nervous system\u2014essentially switching off alertness, reducing heart rate, and lowering blood pressure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"
