These developments have sparked debates on climate justice, sustainable development, disaster governance, and environmental inequality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"1352\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">While climate change is often framed as a scientific or policy problem, sociology views it as a <strong data-start=\"987\" data-end=\"1013\">socially produced risk<\/strong>, deeply embedded in patterns of industrialisation, capitalism, consumption, and power relations. The environmental crisis is therefore not accidental but structurally embedded in the logic of capitalist accumulation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2556\" data-end=\"2582\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Alienation from Nature<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2584\" data-end=\"2679\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Marx\u2019s concept of alienation can be extended to human\u2013nature relations.
