The urban elite accumulates wealth while the <strong>proletariat or marginalized<\/strong> are pushed into conditions of <strong>extreme deprivation<\/strong>. Not only are they poor, but they are also more vulnerable to <strong>sexual violence<\/strong>, <strong>trafficking<\/strong>, and <strong>exploitation<\/strong>. While framed as a <strong>rehabilitative measure<\/strong>, this raises questions about <strong>privacy<\/strong>, <strong>surveillance<\/strong>, and <strong>ethical governance<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"4\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong> Forced Evictions before Major Events<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Before high-profile events like the <strong>G20 Summit<\/strong> or <strong>Commonwealth Games<\/strong>, beggars are forcibly evicted to present a \u201c<strong>clean\u201d<\/strong> image of the city.
