Family Structure and Generational Conflict<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Parsons viewed the family as a unit of <em>primary socialisation<\/em> and <em>personality stabilisation<\/em>.<\/strong> However, in modern settings, intergenerational value conflict arises when youth, especially women, assert individualism and autonomy\u2014traits not aligned with the father&#8217;s traditional values.
