It integrates factors such as employment generation, social protection, equal access to education and healthcare, and reduction in inequality. It surpassed major economies like China, positioning India as a global growth leader. The <strong>services sector<\/strong>, contributing nearly <strong>54%<\/strong> to the GDP, remains a key pillar of economic growth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Poverty Reduction<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">India has made substantial progress in poverty reduction. According to <strong>NITI Aayog\u2019s Multidimensional Poverty Index (2023)<\/strong>, <strong>13.5 crore<\/strong> people exited multidimensional poverty between 2015\u201316 and 2019\u201321. However, over <strong>15%<\/strong> of the population still remains under various poverty indicators such as lack of nutrition, education, sanitation, or housing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Inequality and Unemployment<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Despite overall growth, <strong>income inequality<\/strong> remains a pressing concern. Inclusive growth requires:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Promotion of <strong>agri-tech and value chains<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Minimum Support Price (MSP)<\/strong> reforms<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Expansion of <strong>PM-KISAN<\/strong>, which currently benefits over <strong>11 crore farmers<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Rural infrastructure through schemes like <strong>PMGSY<\/strong> and <strong>BharatNet<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"2\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong> Employment Generation<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">The government has launched initiatives such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>PMEGP<\/strong> (Prime Minister\u2019s Employment Generation Programme)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>MUDRA Yojana<\/strong>, which has sanctioned over <strong>\u20b925 lakh crore<\/strong> in loans since inception<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Skill India Mission<\/strong>, aimed at skilling <strong>40 crore individuals<\/strong> by 2025<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Yet, the formal job creation rate remains insufficient. Promoting <strong>labour-intensive manufacturing<\/strong>, MSMEs, and <strong>gig economy<\/strong> integration is essential.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"3\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong> Education and Health Access<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Human capital development is the backbone of inclusive growth.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>NEP 2020<\/strong> aims to transform India\u2019s education landscape by focusing on <strong>equity, flexibility, and multilingualism<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Ayushman Bharat<\/strong> provides free secondary and tertiary healthcare to <strong>over 50 crore<\/strong> citizens.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>PM POSHAN<\/strong>, formerly Mid-Day Meal Scheme, ensures nutrition and school attendance among children.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Yet, disparities in learning outcomes (as reflected in <strong>ASER Reports<\/strong>) and rural-urban healthcare access gaps persist.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"4\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong> Financial Inclusion<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Financial inclusion has accelerated through:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Jan Dhan Yojana<\/strong>, which has opened over <strong>50 crore bank accounts<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>UPI<\/strong>, recording <strong>12 billion+ monthly transactions<\/strong> as of mid-2024<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Digital lending and fintech platforms<\/strong> expanding credit access<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">However, financial literacy and digital access remain barriers in remote and marginalized communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"5\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong> Social Protection and Welfare<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Schemes like <strong>PMAY (housing for all)<\/strong>, <strong>Ujjwala Yojana (clean cooking fuel)<\/strong>, <strong>Swachh Bharat Mission<\/strong>, and <strong>One Nation One Ration Card<\/strong> are crucial social safety nets.
