There are two models of it<\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #b2ebf7;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Multistakeholder or \/ and Multilateral: Principles <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Multistakeholder<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Collaborative Leadership Among Stakeholders with Expertise and Commitment to Particular Problems<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Multilateral\/Intergovernmental<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Sovereign right of governments to determine Internet policy and regulation<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Multi-lateral<\/strong> \u2013 only Sovereign nations are involved<\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #b2ebf7; height: 290px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"height: 290px;\">\n<td style=\"width: 100%; height: 290px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Problems with Multilateralism<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Diminish open and global net, prioritizing national control<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Reduce the value of the Internet, enhanced by every new user, with China as a possible exception, already localized by language?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Trust in government regulation, moving back to a future of pre-liberalization of telecom<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Create a stronger ITU, but embedded in a multistakeholder organization, such as IGF with other multilateral instiutions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Lack of an appropriate regulatory model for the Internet<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Multi-stakeholder<\/strong> &#8211; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Harris Gleckman<\/strong><\/span> defines multistakeholderism as \u201ca new emerging global governance system that seeks to bring together global actors that have a potential \u201cstake\u201d in an issue and ask them to collaboratively sort out a solution\u201d. Hence, in multistakeholderism, \u201cstakeholders\u201d become the central actors along with sovereign states.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">India and most of the global south nations have favoured multi-stakeholder model while the rich nations US and Western European wants to have multi-lateral model.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Apart from this there are also other issues as far as who owns the data that is domestically generated by third world nations when they use the IT platforms and SN sites mostly owned and operated by US with most of them also having their main servers also located there. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Data, remember, is the new oil of world economy as British mathematician\u00a0<strong>Clive Humby<\/strong>\u00a0declared in 2006.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%; border-collapse: collapse; background-color: #b2ebf7;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Problems with Multistakeholderism<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Limited to communication and coordination &#8211; soft power v authoritative decisions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Concerns over representation of regions, nations, and stakeholders<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Lack a model for regulating the Internet (key to any progress on Internet governance)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>Issues involved: <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">What are the key threats to a shared global data and communications system?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">What are the possible responses and initiatives already underway that we might build upon?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">What actions might be taken in the short term?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">What longer term initiatives might be effect, including building new global governance institutions?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>The challenges identified can be classified into two main categories:<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Specific issues arising from the rapid development of information and communications technologies including issues associated with the transfer, trading and storage of data (freedom of data flows, privacy, consumer protection), maintaining an environment conducive to competition and innovation, cybersecurity, election tampering, child protection the impacts of adopting artificial intelligence and innovations in Fintech.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Challenges associated with growing geopolitical conflicts arising from differences in value systems around the world and concerns about future national competitiveness in the global market that may results in the barriers to global data flows and fragmentation of communications systems and the Internet which may, in turn, risk of higher costs; more friction; less integration; less innovation, and reduced ease of use for consumers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>Scientific Research Agendas and Projects\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Science has been a driver of international and global development. Different research fields have different contexts and so research ethics may be more contextual and international ethics than follows various contextual offerings and multidimensional. International ethics may also have a lot to do with the new and current epistemologies that are bound to shape the thinking of present and future generations.
