and publishing a caste \u00adwise count of its population is quite immense.<\/strong> The survey, which had all the trappings of a census, complete with a two \u00adstage process of house listing followed by the eliciting of information from the households, has shown that 63% of Bihar\u2019s 13 crore population belong to castes listed under the <strong>Extremely Backward Classes (EBC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC)<\/strong> categories.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18677 alignleft\" conducted.<\/strong> The methodology included giving a code to each of the 214 castes in the State\u2019s lists of castes.
