font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">In <strong>2022, 17th September<\/strong> was declared to be celebrated annually as the <strong>Hyderabad Liberation Day.<\/strong> The day signifies the merger of the erstwhile Hyderabad State under <strong>Nizam rule<\/strong> with the Indian Union.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\"><strong>Hyderabad,<\/strong> a significant princely state ruled by the Nizams, acknowledged British sovereignty.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">Like <strong>Junagadh and Kashmir, Hyderabad<\/strong> did not join India before or even after gaining independence on August 15, 1947; its Nizam aimed to remain independent and bolster his military.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">However, internal turmoil led to the Indian Army&#8217;s entry into Hyderabad on September 13, 1948, under <strong>Operation Polo<\/strong> to prevent regional instability and integrate Hyderabad into India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;
