He during <strong><em>his study of Shamirpet village<\/em><\/strong> collected data from <strong>geographical, historical, political perspectives alongside<\/strong> with sociological perspective.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">He gave <strong><em>deductive \u2013 positivistic dimension<\/em><\/strong> to village studies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">He divided <strong>Indian villages into<\/strong><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong><em>Single settlement villages<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong><em>Nucleated villages<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong><em>Dispersed villages<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">He advocated that to conduct village study <strong><em>one must examine various units through which village community is organized.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">He gave the <strong style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\"><em>idea of village being part of wider social network<\/em><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\"> rather than being autonomous and independence.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">He added <strong><em>dimension of economic structure to village studies<\/em><\/strong>. He studied <strong><em>different occupations<\/em><\/strong> of people in village.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">He studied <strong><em>religion in village beyond the traditional Hindu angle<\/em><\/strong> and found <strong><em>major type of religious services and festivals in village<\/em><\/strong> like family ceremonies , village festivals <strong><em>and also focused on Hindu \u2013 Muslim interaction during festivals.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Going beyond <strong><em>the myopic caste based status differentiation<\/em><\/strong> in village. I<\/strong>n each village there are <strong><em>some dominant individuals<\/em><\/strong> who <strong>have decisive say in political participation of the members of village.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">He added <strong style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">wider dimension to gender aspects of village studies<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">. C. Dube provided extensive work on village and he expanded the scope of village studies from the study of ritual and tradition to economic, political and planning and development view point. C.
