Is it possible to improve the relationship between the two? C.P. Bhambri, an educationist and professor of Political Science, believes that more must be done to change the citizens&#8217; apathetic attitude and encourage their active participation in the functioning of the administration. According to him, establishing linkages between citizens and the administration is crucial to foster mutual trust and appreciation, bridging the existing gap between the two in India.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Public_and_Administrators\"><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><strong>Public and Administrators<\/strong><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><strong>Regarding the connection between the public and administrators, it is important for public administration to be well-informed about the public&#8217;s opinions on administrative acts and policies, as well as their hopes and desires.<br \/>\n<\/strong>To achieve this, a strong rapport can be established between the administration and the public through the creation of a public relations agency within the administration itself. The public must shed its negative role and adopt a more proactive one. Aspiring for progress and prosperity requires an active and engaged attitude towards one&#8217;s own development issues. Administrators should ensure that they interact with the common people, particularly those in rural areas, as they are the ones who require the administrators&#8217; assistance the most. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Indifference and detachment from the activities of the democratic government are not conducive to achieving these goals. The public&#8217;s initiative, interest, wholehearted support, and active cooperation, along with direct participation in governmental activities, must be mobilized to support the extensive efforts of our public administration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><strong>The success of administration relies on the involvement, commitment, dedication, and sacrifices made by public servants for the welfare of the masses in the country.<\/strong> Administrators should ensure that they interact with the common people, particularly those in rural areas, as they are the ones who require the administrators&#8217; assistance the most. In this regard, the Hota Committee aptly noted, &#8220;The introduction of sophisticated technology alone will not make the administration people-friendly unless higher civil servants have a proactive attitude and reach out to the common people.
