So if you raise temptation in the society to the point, and all these young guys have nowhere to go, it has consequences in the society,&#8221; Khan told the interviewer. \u201cIf a woman is wearing very few clothes, it will have an impact on the men, unless they are robots. I mean it\u2019s common sense.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SOCIOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Rape culture<\/strong>is a\u00a0sociological\u00a0theory of a setting in which\u00a0rape\u00a0is pervasive and\u00a0normalized\u00a0due to societal attitudes about\u00a0gender\u00a0and\u00a0sexuality.<\/li>\n<li>Behaviors commonly associated with rape culture include\u00a0victim blaming,\u00a0slut-shaming,\u00a0sexual objectification, trivializing rape, denial of widespread rape, refusing to acknowledge the harm caused by\u00a0sexual violence, or some combination of these.<\/li>\n<li>It has been used to describe and explain behavior within social groups, including\u00a0prison rape\u00a0and in conflict areas where\u00a0war rape\u00a0is used as\u00a0psychological warfare. Entire societies have been alleged to be rape cultures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sexualization<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sexualization and <strong><u>sexual objectification are practices that contribute to the normalization of hyper-sexualized perceptions of women, which is a theme in rape culture.<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Hyper-sexualized or pornographic media is often attributed with perpetuating aggressive behaviors and attitudes supporting violence against women. Media depictions of violent sexual activity are also noted to increase behavioral aggression.<\/li>\n<li>Sexualizing imagery surfaces and reinforces misogynistic beliefs in some instances.
