{"id":1217,"date":"2018-06-22T16:53:18","date_gmt":"2018-06-22T11:23:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/?p=1217"},"modified":"2018-06-22T16:54:30","modified_gmt":"2018-06-22T11:24:30","slug":"national-digital-library","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/national-digital-library\/","title":{"rendered":"National Digital Library"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>National Digital Library<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ministry of Human Resources and Development has launched National Digital Library.<\/li>\n<li>It is a repository of millions of academic texts from around the world which will be open for all to use.<\/li>\n<li>The earlier version of digital library was limited to schools and other educational institutes.<\/li>\n<li>The digital library at present hosts 17 million-plus books, audiobooks, images etc. in 200-plus languages from more than 170 institutions.<\/li>\n<li>It has been built by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The objective is to integrate several national and international digital libraries in one single web-portal. The NDLI provides free access to many books in English and the Indian languages.<\/li>\n<li>It will enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and adopt them.<\/li>\n<li>It will help researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources and carry out new analytics of text, audio, image, and video data to create new knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, it will support the continual evolution of new pedagogy of learning and new opportunities to lever- age ICT in education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Digital Library Ministry of Human Resources and Development has launched National Digital Library.
