I am sure the feminist trend is not new to anyone anymore. One of the constant highlights in recent times, it makes me wonder what it actually is? You know what? Let\u2019s find out\u2026
\nAll they speak about these days is that women need empowerment, deserve justice, equality and whatnot. I mean the whole Preamble gets incorporated into this. But how can we empower particular sex while constantly being prejudiced and biased against another? How can we ask the male counterparts to hold us up while we constantly shoot the arrows of false allegations and wound them? Perplexed, are you? Me too.<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s quickly round up some facts here:
\n\u2022 In any kind of harassment against women, sexual\/mental\/physical, men are blamed and accused invariably without even a fair investigation. Law is blind?
\n\u2022 Women are constantly subjected to stalking by people, asking for their details, nudes etc. What about men? I know this sounds crazy but just imagine that you are a guy and someone is out there following you, asking for your details? Isn\u2019t that irritating? What if that someone hacks your accounts, exploits you? Aren\u2019t you vulnerable to that?
\n\u2022 Nowadays we say women should be loved in all forms and body shaming should not be promoted. If that is the case, then why are fat\/thin\/poor\/dark guys being dumped for rich guys? Is it just limited to women then?
\n\u2022 Men are expected to carry the financial burdens of their lovers even if the relationship is nothing but a joke. Unke baap ne paise diye hai taaki woh apna kharcha utha sake. Tumhara nahin. Apne paison pe jeena seekho.
\n\u2022 Ladki dhokaa khaati hai toh aadmi ko sazaa hoti hai. Lekin agar ladki dhokaa deti hai toh bas mazak bankar reh jati hai.
\n\u2022 Men are stereotyped and designated to be Men of Steel always. They say they are born this way. But doesn\u2019t crying or them expressing their innermost insecurities, makes them more human?<\/p>\n
What is wrong really in reversing the roles once in a while?<\/p>\n
Men are just like us, born of the 5 elements or made of Carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, macro and microelements (whichever you believe). Then why treat differently?
\nIt is never wrong for a man to cry just because of their strong physique or the fact that they have been the bread makers of the family for centuries. Times are changing. And we should make an effort to realise that men can get hurt and be sensitive as well! It is high time we recognise this problem without needing Ayushmann Khurrana to spell it out to us numerous times.
\nI totally agree with the fact that atrocities against women are at an all-time high. And believe me when I say that even I want to see the perpetrators getting hanged until death but to just reflexly point fingers and blame men without a proper and unbiased investigation is not fair to them. They can lose their jobs and undergo mental harassment! And we all know how that culminates.
\nWhen women are taught to live by a certain decorum, men should be taught too. And when any man follows the dictum word by word, he should not be hailed as a special cause that is absolutely normal like brushing your teeth. When a woman is expected to live normally like that, the same conditions should be applied to the men as well. That is what a normal man is.
\nAt the same time, we should stop stereotyping men and make them more human. It is ok for a man to cry.
\nI am a girl and I have come across many men. Fortunately, I have men in my life, like my father, my teachers and friends, who respect and care for women just the way it should be done. But that is a decorum to them. And not something extraordinary.
\nHaving said that we should realise that when we aim to bring the women at par with men, we cannot ignore the compromises of men who would do anything for their ladies. We cannot disrespect the men who protect their ladies like they would protect their own lives. We cannot overlook the sacrifices made by a father just to feed his family. They are the real men. They are mere NORMAL Homo sapiens and not the superhumans that the society assumes them to be.
\nLastly, I would like to conclude by saying that when God himself created Adam and Eve with the intention of them being equal despite their differences.. who are we to create a gender disparity? Think again.<\/p>\n
