(7 nations)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) is an organization of South Asian and South East Asian countries which are dependent on the Bay of Bengal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Leadership is rotated in alphabetical order of country names. The permanent secretariat is in Dhaka<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/12th-june-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1081\" src=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/12th-june-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"461\" height=\"355\" srcset=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/12th-june-2.jpg 461w, https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/12th-june-2-150x116.jpg 150w, https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/12th-june-2-300x231.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Government has provided cash incentives to nearly 23.6 lakh beneficiaries out of an estimated 51.6 lakh a year under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">The scheme was approved by the Union Cabinet in 2017 and is implemented by Ministry of Women and Child Development.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Under the scheme, pregnant women and lactating mothers are offered a cash incentive of Rs. 6,000 on the birth of their first child as partial compensation for wage loss.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">It was done to reduce maternal mortality and malnutrition levels among children.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Many States like Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha and West Bengal have not yet implemented the scheme.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">These states account for 25 percent of the beneficiaries.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Odisha and West Bengal have their own maternity benefit schemes and have been reluctant to implement the PMMVY.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Iceberg B-15<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/b15_route.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1082\" src=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/b15_route.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/b15_route.png 720w, https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/b15_route-150x100.png 150w, https:\/\/triumphias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/b15_route-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Iceberg B-15 broke away from Antarctica\u2019s Ross Ice Shelf 18 years ago in 2000.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">It measured about 296 km long and 37 km wide.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">It is the largest iceberg ever recorded and could be nearing the end of its voyage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">The iceberg may not be tracked if it splinters into smaller pieces.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">B-15 has since fractured into numerous smaller bergs, and most have melted away.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Melting and breakup would not be surprising, given the berg\u2019s long journey and northerly location.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">The project envisioned by the Prime Minister is being coordinated by Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation with the support of State governments and local administration<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">SIP is a collaborative project with three other central Ministries: Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Ministry of Culture, and Ministry of Tourism.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">It also involves local administrations in the concerned States and Public Sector and Private Companies as sponsoring partners.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Launched in 2016, the Phase I iconic places are Ajmer Sharif Dargah, CST Mumbai, Golden Temple, Kamakhya Temple, Manikarnika Ghat, Meenakshi Temple, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Shree Jagannath Temple, The Taj Mahal and Tirupati Temple.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Phase II of Swachh Iconic Places was launched in Nov 2017 and included Gangotri, Yamunotri, Mahakaleshwar Temple, Charminar, Convent and Church of St. Francis of Assisi, Kalady, Gommateswara, BaidyanathDham, Gaya Tirth and<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
