Greater Adjutant Stork, the world’s most endangered of the stork species.
The Brahmaputra Valley in Assam is considered the last stronghold of the endangered stork, locally called ‘Hargila’, and harbours more than 80 per cent of the global population of the species.
The Indian population is threatened by contaminated open rubbish dumps where pollutants are disposed along with carcasses and foodstuffs and it is also known to accidentally ingest polythene bags if food is wrapped inside.
The greater adjutant is now restricted to a much smaller range with only two breeding populations; one in India, with the largest colony in Assam and the other breeding region in Cambodia.

It was built sometime in 1611 by Hyderabad’s founder Muhammad Quli Qutb shah.
It was turned in to a pilgrimage site when alams (battle standards ) were installed to commemorate the Battle of Karbala in 680 A.D.
Monument lost for several decades when Emperor Aurangzeb’s turned it into a bandikhana.

Blue flag certification is the tag given to environment friendly and clean beaches ,equipped with amenities of international standards for tourists .
It is a certification given by the Copenhagen -based Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
The Blue Flag is a trademark owned by FEE which is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization consisting of 65 organizations in 60 member countries in Europe, Africa, Oceania, Asia, North America and South America.
The awards are announced yearly on 5 June for Europe, Canada, Morocco, Tunisia and other countries in a similar geographic location, and on 1 November for the Caribbean, New Zealand, South Africa and other countries in the southern hemisphere.
Chandrabhaga beach on Konark Coast of Odisha will be the first in Asia to get a Blue Flag certification.

Foreign Portfolio Investment (FPI) is investment by non-residents in Indian securities including shares, government bonds, corporate bonds, convertible securities, infrastructure securities etc.
The class of investors who make investment in these securities are known as Foreign Portfolio Investors.
Foreign Portfolio Investors includes investment groups of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs), Qualified Foreign Investors (QFIs) (Qualified Foreign Investors) and sub accounts etc. NRIs(Non -Resident Indian) doesn’t comes under FPI.
